It’s with a heavy heart that I break the news (if you didn’t already know) that Good Morning Cafe in Ballston Spa has closed its doors for good.
In a statement posted to their Facebook page last month, it reads:
It makes me so sad to read this, myself, but I wish nothing but the best for Nancy and her husband in the future.
I’ll be dreaming of the amazing muffins and decadent french toast forever!
In addition to the closing of Good Morning Cafe, Bitter Sweet Cafe has also closed. Only opening just short of a year ago, they put out this message on their Facebook Page:
“So as many of you already know we have closed the doors to Bitter Sweet. We have found a location closer to home and will be soon bringing you Maxon’s American Grill in Rotterdam. We thank everyone for coming to Bitter Sweet and would love to see everyone at our new venture! 2544 Guilderland Ave is the address and we hope to be open end of May. We have started a page for Maxon’s American Grill and encourage you to like it so you can see our progress. Thank you all again and this is truly bitter sweet….”
Now that Good Morning Cafe is closed and Bitter Sweet is as well, we’re still lucky to have quite a few spots in Ballston Spa for a good breakfast/brunch.
Here are some options for you egg loving foodies:
- Fifty South
- Russell’s Deli
- The Iron Roost
- Beverly’s
If you ever need a recommendation for where to eat, please feel free to shoot me a message on Facebook or email me at saratogafoodfanatic [at] gmail [dot] com!

How about Beverly’ s in Ballston Spa?
I totally forgot about Beverly’s! Just added to the list 🙂
My sister and her husband own The Whitehouse Restaurant….open 7 days a week for breakfast and lunch. Great food at great prices…it’s probably the longest running restaurant in town!
