There are a few destinations in Saratoga that are considered to be THE “summer spots.” Some of those places include Lake Local, Harvest and Hearth, and Dock Browns.
While Lake Local and Harvest and Hearth close for part of the colder season, did you know that Dock Browns is still open?
Not only that, but this spot where people love to hang out on the beach or to eat on the deck overlooking the water in the summer totally transforms into a cozy and quiet dining destination during the winter months.
But today I’m not really here to write about atmosphere and more to write about the $19.99 16 oz. Ribeye special they run every Friday night. The meal comes with two sides, including a potato (baked or potato wedges) and a seasonal vegetable.
I was teetering with the idea of posting this picture because the lighting was not ideal (as it isn’t in most restaurants at night), but I wanted to show the portions, and the beautiful brussels.
The brussels sprouts were awesome, sauteed in a really nice apple cider reduction and little pieces of bacon that made this meal complete. Bacon + cider + brussels = YAS QUEEN.
WHEW okay now that that’s out of my system…
I’ll tell you, I really don’t eat red meat TOO often. I maybe eat it twice a month. I ate every last bite of this steak. It was cooked perfectly medium rare, it was juicy and fatty and everything you want out of a ribeye.
Was it fancy? No. Was it delicious? Yes.
If you’re looking for an easy dinner at a quiet spot outside of town to kick off the weekend, make plans to get out to Dock Browns for this Friday night special this winter!
