If you’re a french fry lover like me, you know that not all french fries are created equal.
To me, shoestring fries are disappointing because they’re mostly breading and hardly any potato. Beer battered fries can either be hella good or soggy and sad.
And Pomme Frites? Nearly always perfect. Especially when you order them at Ravenous.
Ordering them with your crepe is a no-brainer, but figuring out which dipping sauce to get is the hardest part.
Here are all of the options:
Aioli (Garlic Mayo), Pesto Mayo, Cajun Spicy Mayo, Horseradish Mayo, Sesame Miso Mayo, Chipotle BBQ, Honey Mustard Sauce, Mango Ginger Chutney, Curry Mayo, Sriracha Ketchup, Roasted Red Pepper Coulis, Gochujang Chili Mayo, Raspberry Melba, Maple Cinnamon Mayo, Chipotle Ranch
So yeah, it’s a tough call. For me, the aioli is usually a given. After that, I tend to teeter back and forth between the horseradish mayo, cajun spicy mayo & cochujang chili mayo. But the truth is, they’re all awesome, so you really can’t lose.
If you’ve never been to Ravenous on Phila Street, I suggest you get there. Whether you’re in the mood for sweet or savory crepes, just remember to get an order of the pomme frites. You won’t regret it.
