Event season is officially on, and you better believe that it’s being kicked off with a great one at the end of this month!
The Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region is hosting their 5th Annual Chef’s Challenge, and I can proudly say that I have been to all 5 years of this event. In fact, it’s one of my favorites every year because this event is truly about the food.
Here’s the rundown –
The event is on Thursday June 30th at 6:30pm at the Excelsior Springs in Saratoga Springs, NY.
Tickets prices are $150 for Honorary Committee tickets, $75 for General Admission tickets and $50 for Young Professional tickets (thirty & under only.)
This event is slated to draw more than 200 people and raise over $45,000 leveraging over 30 mentoring matches throughout the Capital Region.
There’s food everywhere, a culinary competition AND a cocktail competition. YES to all three.

Big Brothers Big Sisters provides children ages 6-18 facing adversity with strong, enduring, professionally supported one-to- one mentoring relationships that change their lives for the better, forever. It is our vision that all children will achieve success in life.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region currently has a list of over 200 local Littles (youth facing adversity waiting to be matched with a Big (adult mentor). In order to reach this goal for our Littles and Bigs, we must engage the community in broader, more proactive ways and increase public support. At a cost of $1,200 to create and sustain each match annually, our need for community support continues to grow. Once a match relationship begins, we track its progress through evaluations and ongoing contact with children, their families and our mentors.
Our match support staff provides support, supervision and training throughout the lifetime of the match. This component is critical to the progress, safety and success of the relationship and the benefit to the child. The event will take place on Thursday June 30th , at 6:30 at the Excelsior Springs in Saratoga Springs, NY. Tickets are priced as follows; Honorary Committee tickets ($150). General Admission tickets ($75) and Young Professional tickets ($50) thirty & under only. This event is slated to draw more than 200 people and raise over $45,000 leveraging over 30 mentoring matches throughout the Capital Region.
