It’s hard to believe another year has come and gone, especially a year as fantastic as 2012. For a girl who’s practically terrified of change, this year proved to be a year of change for me. Not only did I take a huge risk by leaving my previous career in an effort to find something I truly loved, but during that process I also created and launched Saratoga Food Fanatic, which was perhaps the best thing I did in 2012. This project has allowed me to pursue my dreams, even if it’s on a smaller scale right now.
When it comes to resolutions for 2013, I really would like to see this website grow and develop into something that everyone knows about. I want to be better than I am right now and I want to post more frequently, which has been a challenge for me since I started working full-time again.
The truth is Saratoga, I love you. I love you as a city and I love you as citizens. I want to show you that I love you by providing you with the best, most unique and fun reviews you could ever ask for. I want to do the digging for you when a restaurant closes or rumors are circulating about a new place coming in. I want to be a one stop destination for anything food related in the area, and ultimately, that is my new years resolution.
As I look back to my posts throughout the past six months that Saratoga Food Fanatic has been around, I wanted to highlight my favorite moments from the year. Here’s to 2012:
Summer Harvest Salad Sampling from 51 Front Street
Italian Mix from Roma’s Imports
Spicy Calamari from 50 South
Tots and veggie burgers from Comfort Kitchen
French toast club sandwich from Triangle Diner
Pan Roasted Cod from Scallions
Iron Chef Competition – Chef Ireland’s Entree
Ice Cream Sandwich Throwdown at Comfort Kitchen
Last but certainly not least, my favorite meal at my favorite restaurant in Saratoga Springs – Seared Scallops from Mio Posto
With that I thank you, all of you, for an amazing 2012. I wish you all a very healthy, happy and delicious 2013! Happy New Year!
