Every now and then, I like to do a little roundup of the newest restaurants to hit the Saratoga food scene. Of course, with the opening day at the races less than a week away, many new restaurants are pulling to either open their doors or get their flow figured out before the influx of visitors arrive to the area.
Interested in what’s new in the area? Here’s a rundown:
Bravo
Located at 3246 South Broadway, this American Steak and Seafood restaurant was opened just recently by Giuseppe Grisio, who has owned Mama Mia’s Pizza & Cafe since 2004. Menu items include baked chilean sea bass, grilled branzino, roasted prime rib, and roasted 1/2 chicken.
Embassy Suites “The Diamond Club Grill”
Located at 86 Congress St, Saratoga Springs, Diamond Club Grill is available for lunch and dinner, providing an alternative to traditional “hotel restaurant” experiences. With a menu all about pleasing the masses, you can expect anything from mini crab cakes and asian tuna nachos to filet mignon and fettuccine alfredo.
15 Church Patio
Ah yes, the long wait is over, friends. And while I’m sure many of you have already been to the patio already since it opened last month, this is still new restaurant blog-worthy material.
Pretty obvious, but this restaurant is located at 15 Church Street in Saratoga, a trendy, yet VERY sophisticated semi-outdoor dining area for the well known and well loved 15 Church Restaurant. Offering a menu with a little more of a casual feel, you can find items like shrimp scampi and tuna tartare tacos (HIGHLY recommended FYI), as well as a raw bar and lobster rolls.
Bitter Sweet Cafe
As you saw in my review last week, Bitter Sweet Cafe is a new cafe located at 2002 Doubleday Ave, in Ballston Spa. Now open for breakfast, you can catch them between 7am-3pm offering breakfast sandwiches, flat bread pizzas, and several types of pie.
