Traveling home for the weekend doesn’t just mean spending time with family and friends, but also includes opportunities for me to experience different restaurants within my area. I am always up for trying different places, so when my brother suggested going to Sunset Cafe on Front Street in Ballston Spa, I was excited and ready to go.
Upon looking at the menu, I was initially torn between the buffalo chicken quesadilla (my brain always finds buffalo chicken something) and the grilled chicken sandwich. After a recent “heavenly” experience involving a grilled chicken sandwich, I was curious to see what their take on it would be, and if it would top the last one I had. I asked to nix the BBQ sauce and put some chipotle mayonnaise on the side.
Hellllooooooooo Beautiful. When they brought this over, I was not only impressed by the presentation, but also the portion sizes and quality. The chicken was juicy and cooked well, and the fries were crunchy yet soft on the inside, exactly the way I like them. It’s safe to say I didn’t regret my decision. In fact, I was extremely pleased with what I had chosen.
Here’s a look at my brothers meal, grilled vegetable quesadilla:
Nom nom nom. Yes, it was as good as it looks.
So if you’re looking for a great place to eat whether it’s lunch or dinner, Sunset Cafe in Ballston Spa is a spectacular option. Check it out and see what it’s all about, you won’t be sorry you did.
