As I’ve learned in the past, it’s best to keep my distance from brand new restaurants for the first month they’re open. But with a reputation like this, it’s hard to stay away.
Braeburn Tavern at 390 Broadway opened just in the past two weeks, and I’ve been hearing nothing but positive reviews since.
Taking over where Crown Grill used to be (and before that, Brindisi’s), Braeburn Tavern is run by husband and wife team, chef/owner Scott Brankman and proprietor Emily Farnsworth-Brankman.
According to their website, “Chef Scott’s seasonal menus specialize in American cuisine, drawing influences from his experiences in kitchens from New York to Colorado to Southern California. Emily brings over 20 years of front-of-the-house experience to developing a creative drink menu and global wine list as well as managing a loyal team whose family like dynamic provides uplifting service.”
When the time is right, I really look forward to trying the newest restaurant in town.

I’ve been to Braeburn 3 times….no need to wait, everything was fantastic. I’m a person who loves food and restaurants and am often disappointed. This place does not disappoint!
