As many of you probably learned this week, Maestro’s announced that they’ll be moving into McGregor Links in the spring.

While I had a feeling there was something cooking behind the scenes, I didn’t even consider the McGregor situation as an option!

I’m not sure how many of you had the opportunity to enjoy Druthers when they occupied the space at McGregor this past summer, where they had my favorite menu item I’ve ever consumed from them, the curried chicken salad lettuce wraps.

Well, unfortunately their time at that location was short, as they shut down their operations near the end of the summer.

As for Maestro’s and their timing, it looks like they’re aiming to have a soft opening in March for the members of McGregor Links Country Club, and then a grand opening to the public sometime in April.

Owner Bill Donovan mentioned that they’ll continue to present many of the dishes Maestro’s is known for, including the well-loved Lobster Roll. They’ll be open 7 days a week during peak season (May-mid September), and then Thursday, Friday and Saturday during off-season with a more limited menu.

In case you were wondering about the advancement of Salt and Char, the restaurant that will be replacing Maestro’s on Broadway, it looks like that project is taking longer than we had anticipated as well. They’re now looking at more of a March 2016 opening.
