For those who aren’t aware, Roma’s is not a restaurant. It is an Italian imports store that makes fresh sandwiches, subs, and specialty dishes to go. I’ve been wanting to blog about Roma’s for a while now. The satisfaction that grows on my face upon eating a sub from there is a different type of satisfaction. I have attempted multiple times to recreate this sub and it’s just not possible. I’m sure a lot of you may think I’m crazy for ranting and raving about a sub, but trust me, it’s not just your ordinary sub.
The Italian mix consists of salami, capicola, ham, pepperoni, and tangy provolone cheese. With the addition of finely chopped lettuce, onions and tomatoes, this sub is almost complete. Add the traditional oil and vinegar with herbs and a pickle on the side, and it’s ready to go. I’m going crazy over here just thinking about it and not having one in front of me to eat. I can’t put any more describing words out there, you’re just going to have to go and try one for yourself.
