Ahhh August, the time of year when half the population realizes summer is winding down and tries to savor every moment while the other half plots when they can reintroduce their pumpkin spice lattes and Halloween decor.
I’m one of the summer savorers, and August might be arguably my favorite summer month (despite my birthday being in June.) The produce is really at its PEAK, there’s usually a cooler day here and there to give us a break from the heat, and Saratoga is bursting at the seams with things to do and people to watch.
I’ve been attempting to get out to eat more often, not just for the sake of my precious readers but also for my own sanity. And I promise more food reviews are coming, but I couldn’t go through this month without highlighting two places I probably frequent the most, especially as I (im)patiently wait for my garden to start popping off.
I just adore being able to stop by The DayDream Farmer to get fresh produce every week.

I LOVE this farmstand and all of the local organic produce the owner, Aliza, sources from local farms. Additionally, she has an amazing variety of plants, flowers, hanging baskets, and come fall, her farm is my go-to place for ALL the fall florals (YAY MUM SEASON!).
If you haven’t been yet, I highly recommend visiting this farm stand and supporting another one of the amazing local businesses we are so lucky to have!
